Cooler Room Artist in Residence May 7 to July 1 2023 During my residency, I will turn the space into a huge walkable sound sculpture by suspending old, discarded technological objects from the ceiling. Garden Artist in Residence July 3 to August 5 2023 Inspired by creatures big and small, Giovanna’s project aims to cultivate movement in the serene garden space of Art Produce. Insect imagery directs the artistry for this dance exploration process to cultivate a live performance event outdoors. Cooler Room Artist in Residence July 3 to August 26 2023 My project will be research and experimentation based. I am excited to deepen my understanding of native clays and pit firing ceramics to explore the idea of the controlled burn and the processes of letting go and self-reclamation. Community Room Artist in Residence July 31 to August 20 2023 Transforming an object’s form and function is an exercise in navigating the fluid and reciprocal boundaries between self and other. During this residency I will be revisiting my family’s history of traveling to other countries in order to pursue creative endeavors.
